In early December, CCS employees and K-12 students joined honored guests to break ground on the new 26,000 sq. ft. facility and to dedicate it to the Lord. The new building will be the largest structure on campus and will serve the CCS community in the coming years for fine arts and athletic events, chapel services, academic competitions, and many other community-building events. CCS graduate and current CCS Bible/journalism teacher, Matt Moore, earned his Master of Arts degree in December 2015 from Dallas Baptist University. Matt said: "I'm thankful for the education I received at DBU. My professors were incredible, and taking classes online fit perfectly with my schedule. Pursuing my master's definitely has helped me become a better teacher."
Elementary students are excited to welcome their loved ones to campus on Feb. 19 as they share classroom activities and a special chapel service. No RSVP is required.

High school English teacher Donna Lambert challenged her students to prayerfully select one word through which God might transform their lives throughout the year.
Mrs. Lambert said: "I was overwhelmed at their participation and maturity in selecting their words. They chose words such as diligence, humility, aperture, brave, authentic, recover, enough, purity and value. I can't wait to see how God transforms these young lives as they grow closer to Him through the intentional application of just one word.

Thespian Society Collects Non-Perishables for Needy

The Cypress Christian varsity cheerleaders competed in the United Cheer Texas Open Championship on Saturday, Jan. 23, in Katy, Texas. The squad took first place in the high school advanced division and was named "Grand Champion" in the school division by receiving the highest score among all six teams that competed.
