Diamond McCarthy Celebrated 15 Years of Success
Diamond McCarthy LLP opened its doors on March 1, 2000 with eight lawyers, three Texas offices, and a vision of creating a national commercial litigation boutique.  Today, we have offices in New York, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and most recently, Las Vegas.  The firm's lawyers have tried cases and handled litigation in more than fifteen states and virtually all federal circuits, and have directed cross-border litigation in twelve different countries.  

Our focus is on complex and high stakes business and governmental matters, including disputes relating to financial frauds, closely-held businesses, trusts and estates, asset recovery, product brand protection, real estate, environmental damage, energy, professional liability and insolvency.  Our lawyers are diligent, creative, tough and pragmatic. Our goal continues to be the delivery of valuable results to our clients in a cost-effective way through high quality service, dedication, commitment and innovation.

2015 Accomplishments - To Name a Few . . .
  • Successfully negotiated one of the largest qui tam settlements in the country
  • Won appeals in the 2nd, 3rd and 7th Circuit Courts of Appeals
  • Broadened our real estate practice regionally and with new capabilities, which included handling transactional matters relating to the construction of the new Richards Building in Dallas, litigation of property disputes relating to land development in Las Vegas and a ski resort development in Colorado
  • Handled a variety of complex matters for clients in the People's Republic of China, Japan, Belgium, Argentina, the Philippines and the Caribbean
  • Retained to conduct corporate investigations and assist with asset recovery for the Dallas Police & Fire Pension Fund
  • Successfully took a large chemical company through Chapter 11 
Darrell Jordan Receives 
"Lions of the Texas Bar" Award 

Darrell Jordan received the 2015 Distinguished 50-Year Lawyer Award from the Texas Bar Foundation.  In addition, he was a recipient of  The Texas Lawbook's  Lion's of the Bar Award,  which acknowledged 50 of the most successful Texas lawyers of the past half-century.  Recipients of this award are 65 years old or older, still practicing law, and have made a significant impact on the legal profession. Darrell is most certainly a lion of our profession and we congratulate him on these well-deserved honors. 
Jim McCarthy Receives  Dallas Bar Association  Outstanding Section Award 

Jim McCarthy, as chair of the International Law Section, received the Dallas Bar Association's Outstanding Section Award for 2015. 


At the ABA's 2015 Annual Meeting, Mark Sales was elected to serve
as Secretary and Treasurer of the ABA's Metro Bar Caucus.

Chris Sullivan was selected by judges of the Northern District of California as a lawyer representative
 to the Ninth Circuit for the Northern District of California.

In 2015, Allan Diamond completed his appointment as the Chapter 11  Trustee 
of the Howrey law firm bankruptcy.  Following that appointment, Allan was named the  Howrey Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee.
Kathy Bazoian Phelps Published Book and is Invited for Induction Into the American College of Bankruptcy
Kathy Phelps, along with members of ABI's Commercial Fraud Committee, has published "Fraud and Forensics: Piercing Through the Deception in a Commercial Fraud Case".  In addition, Kathy has been selected by the American College of Bankruptcy to be inducted as a Fellow of the College.
Diamond McCarthy Welcomes Newest Hires
Diamond McCarthy is pleased to announce that Michael Cecchini (San Francisco), Sheryl Giugliano (New York), William Hotze (Houston), Paul Maslo (Dallas), Rebecca Muff (Houston)  Adam Rosen (New York) and  Lon Seidman (New York) have joined our firm.  They are all outstanding lawyers who have already made significant contributions to the firm and our clients, and we could not be more excited for their future with our firm.
