NAMIWalks NYC season is here and we are all about the TENs this time! It is our Tenth anniversary and we are excited to have you join us and celebrate Ten years of NAMIWalks NYC! The NAMIWalks NYC crew of Walkers, Team Captains, and supporters have helped make tremendous strides over the past Ten years for NAMI-NYC Metro.
Here are a few things we've achieved together...
  • Ten years ago NAMIWalks NYC had 1,000 participants. In 2015 over 5,000 people attended. Numbers don't lie - together we are seeing the impact our walk has on stigma and breaking barriers!  We are all mental health advocates when we walk!
  • We are committed to reaching younger adults and communities of color and our programming reflects this - in 2015 we served over 16,000 New Yorkers through our no-cost classes, support groups, presentations, and our Helpline.
  • We have transformed NAMIWalks NYC into more than just another walk - last year we hosted New York City's first #IWILLLISTEN Day during NAMIWalks NYC with a concert and expanded fair.
Join us for the first time, or come back again, and help us celebrate the awesome Tenth Anniversary of NAMIWalks NYC. Be a part of the exciting mental health movement that together we will create in the next Ten years as we work to raise awareness, raise funds (our goal is $550,000!) for NAMI-NYC Metro's life-changing no-cost support, education, and advocacy services for families and individuals, and work towards a stigma-free society.
