"How Can I Make My Business More Attractive to Lenders?"


CAM will present a panel discussion to educate contractors on Best Practices for access to capital, to gain credibility, and be more likely to attract lenders and bonding agents. 

 

Panel participants will be comprised of industry experts in Bonding, Banking, and Certified Public Accountants. 

 

This symposium is just $30 per person and includes a continental breakfast. It will be held at the MSU Management Center Auditorium in Troy, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, and begins at 7:30 am. Click here to view the event flyer.

BG20162016 Buyers Guide Contracts Due By October 15th 

 

CAM is currently working on the 2016 Buyers Guide. We have extended the deadline for all contracts to be signed and returned to Thursday, October 15th. 

 

These signed contracts MUST be returned by October 15th in order for you to be listed in the 2016 book.

TS2016Construction & Design Tradeshow 2016 - Booth Space Going Quickly 
 
Over 60% of the available booth space at the 2016 CAM Construction & Design Tradeshow is already reserved... a ct quickly to reserve your booth from the remaining spaces! Many choice spots are still open. 

The  2016 CAM Construction & Design Tradeshow will be held at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.  This one-day  tradeshow will be attended by construction owners, contractors, suppliers, architects and engineers. Show hours are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The event will also play host to the  CAM 130th Annual Meeting, CAM Magazine Special Issue Awards, and Construction Project of the Year Award , which will be held inside the Sound Board.  CAMTEC , the training and education division of CAM, will offer classes during the tradeshow, as well.

RayCPast CAM Board Member Ray Comiskey Passes Away  
 
Raymond R. Comiskey passed away on September 8, 2015. He was born in Detroit on August 6, 1942. Ray graduated from the University of Detroit receiving a BA in Business Administration. He then attended Wayne State University where he earned a Master's Degree in Accounting. Ray took and passed the Certified Public Accountant exam; he also pursued a law degree while working for Doeren Mayhew. He attended Wayne State Law School where he earned a JD in Law. Ray started his own firm with friend, Dave Bobrowski, located in Troy. Ray and Dave provided countless accounting services to clients throughout southeast Michigan until Ray retired in 2013. 

Ray served on the CAM Board of Directors and also served as treasurer for the Construction Federal Credit Union. Ray was an avid University of Michigan football fan. He will be remembered for his quick humor, Irish wit and handlebar mustache. He is survived by many family members including his wife, Ann, their children and four grandchildren.
