"May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way." 2 Thessalonians 3:16

What's On Your Mind?
Delores Fields
Do you sometimes find yourself fretting? Siri defines
fret as a state of anxiety. I find myself ordering my mind to stop fretting with more frequency than ever before. Times are perilous and news disturbing. Yet, Psalm 37:8 declares, "Fret not-it leads only to evil." A better solution to run off worry is praise to our Lord, the One Who owns and controls all. This transports your mind directly to "pleasant and fitting" thoughts (Psalms 147:1).

James and I often quote to one another, "If you didn't cause it, and you can't change it, then don't worry about it." This little formula immediately frees your mind to think of things that are lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

Dear ones, let's become expert at controlling what we meditate on. Think about fascinations not frustrations, count your blessings not your burdens. The Holy Spirit within you enables you with power to choose what's on your mind. Let's make God proud!

Thanking Him for you,

Dee
