Life Saving Medical Treatment for  All

We are excited to share that we have received funding to build a clinic on our property through our partners at Orphan's Heart.  We have already broken ground and hope to have the building completed by the end of the year.  Our current Holmes Medical Clinic is limited in rented space and primarily serves our sponsored children.  Our new building will allow us to expand to serve impoverished families of the community.

The Beginning


Providing Employment to Local Men
 
Many Ugandans die, not from diseases that are untreatable, but 
rather from the inability to pay for this treatment.   We praise 
God that we will be able to meet this vital need for the community to which He has called us.    

Three years ago, as local clinics struggled to adequately serve the
medical needs of our sponsored children, we were able to open a small clinic to serve these children and needy families of our partner church.  This facility still came with some limits and we are excited to be able to expand our medical services.  It will be particularly helpful to have the ability to offer preventive care, treat injuries and provide consistent care for chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure.   Please join us as we praise God for this provision and opportunity to serve Him and reach our community for Him.      

How YOU can help!

  • Pray for safe travels for Katherine and our Ugandan guests as they travel to the US on Sept. 3 and 6.  Papticularly pray for Bumba who is having some last minute difficulties with his US visa.
  • Invite a friend to one of our Anniversary Celebrations.
  • We are still in need of individual or business sponsors for our Lakewood Celebration at $350 each.
  • We are still in need of gifts to offer our Ugandan guests a few unique sightseeing experiences while they are here such as Mesa Verde and The Silverton-Durango train.

Michael Namai
Managing the
Holmes Medical Clinic

 Michael has been working with Katherine from almost the first day she arrived.  As a Medical Officer, which is the equivalent of a Physician's Assistant in the U.S., he has cared for the medical needs of the sponsored children.  For many years he treated children during visitation to their homes, but frequently had to take them to local clinics for needs that required treatment in a facility such as IV drips and broken bones.  Michael was thrilled when we were finally able to provide a clinic where he could more adequately meet the medical needs of the children and his dream has come true to have a full-service clinic now built on our property.   

 

Michael's wife, Joy, is also a Medical Officer and works locally.  Their son, Marvin, began university this year and their daughter attends secondary school locally.  Michael has a real heart for his community.  He serves genuinely and always with a smile.
