September was an exciting month. Union County welcomed the Richwood Lake Trail with a groundbreaking, had ribbon cuttings for new business joining our flock, and hosted festivals. Many came out for the Covered Bridge Bluegrass Festival and Biz Fest. Thanks to everyone for the support and fun!

U-Pick Apples at CherryHawk Farm
U-pick apples. East of Marysville, close to Dublin, Hilliard, Delaware, Powell, Worthington and Columbus. The simple apple-picking experience your grandparents might have enjoyed. Loaded trees in a quiet, natural setting. Bring a blanket and have a picnic. PS: flip-flops are not recommended and dogs are not allowed in the orchard. (They can be walked on a leash in a different part of the farm.

BizFest 2015 was held on September 24
th
at Partners Park in Uptown Marysville. The event featured a Business & Community Expo, Music on Main with Charlie Tatman, and Richwood Bank Family Movie Night. The event was sponsored by Team Marysville, Marysville Entrepreneurial Center, Mental Health & Recovery Board of Union County, True Oldies QT 1270 AM, Ohio Means Jobs - Union County, Otterbein University, Richwood Bank, Livin' Up2 Fitness, the City of Marysville, and the Union County Chamber of Commerce.

A delegation of Marysville and Union County representatives joined officials from JobsOhio and Columbus 2020 in September for a special business mission to Japan. The delegation visited several Japanese companies to build stronger economic ties. The delegation also visited Yorii-town, which has been Marysville's "Friendship City" since 2013. As you can see from the photo above, our Buckeye Pride spans the ocean!

Have You Heard of Team Marysville?
Team Marysville is an association of Marysville officials, business/property owners, and residents that was established in 2012 to improve the overall economic conditions of the Uptown District. Team Marysville works to improve the economic conditions of the Uptown District by tackling various projects such as developing marketing materials, coordinating business support activities/workshops, completing retention visits, addressing aesthetics/property maintenance issues, providing peer-to-peer business advocacy, and more.
