THANKS TO THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR SPARK GRANT
SPARK, our early learning initiative, has just received a generous gift from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. The $8,000 grant will cover the costs of producing SPARK's 2016 Early Childhood Calendar and Parent Resource Guide. The calendar
has new ideas each month regarding activities parents can do with their children that include talking, reading, playing, moving and exploring. Our Parent Resource Guide has essential information about how and where to access resources for parents and children. To learn more about SPARK or the calendar and guide, go to

FAMILYWIZE PARTNERSHIP EXCEEDS $500,000 IN SAVINGS FOR AREA FAMILIES
Since 2011, Fox Valley United Way has partnered with FamilyWize to help folks save money on prescription medication. Distributed through United Ways, the card lowers the cost of medicine by an average of 40% or more for people without insurance, or who take medications not covered by their plan. We are so thrilled to report that in four years, more than 5,000 area residents have saved over $500,000 on their prescriptions. The card is free, accepted nationwide by most pharmacies, requires no registration and can be used as often as needed.

COME OUT TO A WAUBONSEE COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE
This spring, Waubonsee Community College initiated the Waubonsee Vision 2050 project to explore what the college could accomplish in 10, 20 or even 35 years in the future. After communication with students, faculty, staff and community partners, Waubonsee has developed several themes to further explore. Fox Valley United Way is proud to be one of these community partners. We have been asked to co-host a round table discussion to refine what these themes might mean for Waubonsee and the future of our local communities.
Please join us for this important discussion.
