. From our salvation experience, we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). This year, let's "Experience God" in "new" ways that will catapult us to higher heights and a greater urgency to growth toward spiritual maturity. Our foundational Scripture is: 2 Peter 1:3-10.

3. BIBLE STUDY tonight at 7:00pm and every Wednesday night at 7:00pm. .
February topic for discussion: What Are You Scared of?
Format:
10 minutes - introduction of the topic through Scripture
30 minutes - discussion on life application (real life scenarios)
20 minutes - read and study the Scripture to learn how to apply God's Word to the topic
February 10th:
ASH WEDNESDAY
Our Bible Study will focus on the 40-day season of spiritual preparation through Easter Sunday (March 27th). Come and learn as we consecrate ourselves.
4. Our construction project is completed. February 21st will be a dedication of our new bathrooms. Invite family and friends to participate.
5. Registrations are still open for the 2016 WINTER Semester of the Bible & Leadership Institute. Classes begin on this Saturday morning following the snow storm.

Join in with multiple students, from our church and other churches in the area, as we learn, grow and fellowship together.
This semester, we introduce our on-line component so that our students can study from home as needed, through ClassJump.com. Get involved...tuition is only $25.00.

Other notes of interest:
a.
Storm water preservation grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust ($75,000). There have been two meetings so far in 2016 and construction will begin soon. The team has been invited to our church on Feb 21st to give a presentation for all members. Minister Sam Johnson and Pastor Johnson have the lead on this project.
b.
Compassion Power will tentatively begin to offer their Parenting and Core Value Workshop classes on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Their workshops will begin in March 2016 as welcome approximately 15-30 families per workshop. More details to come...
