It's February 1st and I feel like the new year just began. I talk about this a lot, the idea of time moving strangely these days. It feels like we are still on "fast forward," like we are looking for that special scene in a movie. When will we get to the good part?

I catch myself doing this in my own movie...the movie of my life. Then J.T. comes in and reminds me, "The good part is now, Mom!" He's right, you know. Regardless of how long I have been teaching the concept of living in the moment, I am as guilty as you are of projecting ahead. It's not always bad to do this, though. After all, how do we set intention for what we want in our lives if we don't dream it first? J.T.'s point is, though, that once we set that into motion, we need to let go of the outcome of it, and allow our Divine Helpers do their jobs.

This morning when I awoke, and every morning before I get out of bed, I ask myself what I want for the day. I usually say, "Where am I going today?" Then I sink into the energy of the day and ask for my Helpers to guide me to where I need to be, and assist me in maintaining my energy and focusing my energy for my highest good. Then I take a deep breath and get out of bed.

It is so important for you to set the tone of your day, mainly so it is not set for you! I feel so much more centered and focused when I do this exercise in the morning. I am not just a passenger in my life; I'm the driver -- with the help of those who know what is best for me.
