The launching of winning brew Mojo Chocolate Milk Stout was on Saturday January  16th at Taps. Turns out a live band, river views, and incredible beer is the perfect recipe to build up the anticipation for next years competition! Mark your calendar for Saturday May 28th, and join us at the Petaluma Fairgrounds for the 2nd Annual Sonoma County Home Brewers Competition.


Petaluma Dental Group is offering free exams and sealants for kids ages 3-18 on Friday, February 12th. Call 707-766-0377 to schedule an appointment



Check out the new Facebook page created to accumulate all local events in one place. The page is called "Petaluma Events" and is monitored by Petaluma resident, Mike Harris.



New upscale Peruvian restaurant Quinua Cocina Peruana is set to open in early February with chief Francisco Acosta at 500 Petaluma Blvd. South.


January 6th was a sad day as Velasco's, on the corner of Kentucky and Washington, closed its doors. Although there is no news about a new location opening up, they will be open for catering. For more information call 707-773-0882.

 

 

February is the month of love and this year we get an extra day to celebrate it! Use that extra day to hug your loved ones, take a friend to dinner, stroll the town with your sweetheart, or just smile at a stranger. After all, it's the little acts of love that make Petaluma a home.

All of February 
A month-long scavenger hunt for the young, and young at heart for a chance to win a 2-day getaway in Lake Tahoe!Here's how it works, pick up a passport and a map at the Petaluma Visitors Center, Flower Child, or Hotel Petaluma.Use the map to guide you to the participating shops, and find the picture of the two elephants. Before you leave the shop make sure to get your passport stamped, this will determine eligibility for the grand prize. When you are finished, drop your completed passport off at the Petaluma Visitors Center or Flower Child. Then, on February 28th at 2pm join us at Copperfields for the grand prize drawing; we will have cookies and lemonade. Don't worry if you couldn't find them all, you are still invited to the party and eligible to win prizes donated by local merchants!

During this event, participating shops will have donation jars out collecting money for Mentor Me Petaluma and Petaluma Hospice. Find a heart, make a donation, and share the love with the community.

" For the Love of Petaluma" is a merchant-based event inspired by the new children's book "I Carry Your Heart With Me" locally published and illustrated by Cameron & Company and Mati McDonough, respectively. For more information visit us online or on facebook

Celebrating our rich railway history and tracks to the future with the arrival of the SMART train in 2016! 
 
Petaluma's Butter & Egg Days Parade celebrates all things Petaluma, the history and the stories we love to tell. This year the Parade will celebrate the arrival of the SMART Train in 2016, sharing stories of the impact the railway had in shaping our hometown's historic past and making it the place it is today. And looking toward the future, what the revival of a passenger train will mean to our hometown's businesses, residents, schools, and non-profits. 
  • Early bird entries must be received by Monday, February 22nd at 5pm.
  • Regular entries must be received by Monday, February 29th by 8am.
  • Late entries, as space provides, will be accepted from February 29th after 8am until March 7th at 5pm.
To sign up to be in the parade, be a food vendor, get a non-profit booth, or other vendor booth, just download the appropriate application. For more information find us online.    
30th Annual Spring Antique Faire
April 24th from 8:00am - 4:00pm
Antique and collectible lovers throughout the Bay Area are welcome to come, browse and shop the 30th Annual Petaluma Spring Antique Faire on Sunday, April 24, 2016, 8 am to 4 pm held in one delightful and relaxing setting - downtown Petaluma. Admission is free.

"The Bay Area's Premier Antique Center", Historic Downtown Petaluma will transform into an antique marketplace. Amid the beautiful historic buildings, one of a kind stores, and an incredible array of restaurants and cafes, guests can find an incomparable selection of affordable antiques from over 180 dealers. The show has a nice variety of estate jewelry, linens, furniture, art, kitchenware, vintage décor, books and all kinds of unusual collectibles to suit everyone's budget.

This show attracts over 8,000 discerning collectors as well as first time buyers wishing to collect and invest in real antiques. Don't forget to partake in the Mason's incredible breakfast in the beautiful dining room of the Masons
building during the morning of the show for just $8, a rare and special treat!
