atitude Party: What I Wore
Tis the season, for "Oh no! What do I wear?"
This
InStyle article offers fabulous tips for parties from Black Tie to Business Casual for the office party.
Camille Seydoux, a stylist says, "Feel good, but show some respect. Don't come in jeans and a baggy T-shirt," she says. "If you don't show some respect to the dress code, you're not going to be invited anymore. It's always good to be chic, no matter what."
I agree, but equally as important is:
- Do RSVP, and if you confirm with a YES, don't no show or cancel at the last minute -barring emergency, of course :-)!
TIP:
Remember this while being merry during the holidays ~ YOU *still* are your brand. Even though it's the season of joy, the way you show up still leaves impressions based on the experience you offer. With extra invitations professionally and socially, and the hustle and bustle around you, harness this as an opportunity to demonstrate your brand of etiquette and care. Harness how you (S)PEAK, (A)CT, (L)OOK and (L)IVE, ensuring it's in integrity to who you say you are and what you represent!
Camille also says, "Never wear black shoes with a black outfit. Never. It's boring. Never be boring.", Seymour says under "Cocktail".
...Check out Amal under "Semi Formal". She's wearing black shoes with a black outfit and I don't think she at all looks...boring! You?
Still Confused? ...I'm just a phone call away!
P.S.
I tried on about 12 dresses & found my party dress in just 20 minutes...
let me know if I can help you find yours!
