EV Charging Stations Available at Fullerton College
Three electric vehicle charging stations have been installed near the Fullerton College parking structure located off of Lemon Street. The stations, which have the capacity to serve up to six vehicles at any given time, are available at no cost to students, staff and the community.

Fullerton College Night at Angel Stadium - Save the Date
Mark your calendar for April 9! Fullerton College is partnering for the first time with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to bring a fun-filled night at the ballpark. There will be pre-game activities and a special section of 3,000 tickets reserved for Fullerton College. Everyone in the section will get a limited-edition Fullerton College-Angels baseball hat. Tickets will go on sale late this month. All net proceeds from the event will support the Chris Lamm & Toni DuBois-Walker Memorial Food Bank at Fullerton College. Read More ...

Males Achieving Success Conference
Fullerton College hosted the inaugural Males Achieving Success (MAS) Conference on Jan. 27 for 11th and 12th grade males from local feeder high schools. The conference, spearheaded by the Office of High School Outreach, stemmed from a student equity initiative to help address the achievement gap for Latino males in higher education. It featured empowering workshops, career exploration, and self-development for nearly 1,000 students.

Fullerton College Selected to Host 2016 National Debate Championship
The National Educational Debate Association (NEDA) has selected Fullerton College to host the 2016 National Debate Championship this March 11 and 12. Debates will begin Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday on the Fullerton College campus.

President Office Hours
Interim President Greg Schulz will be holding office hours on Feb. 5 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Building 100. This office hour is designed to encourage students, faculty, staff and the community to engage in exclusive one-on-one time with Schulz.
FC Among Top 150 Community Colleges
Fullerton College has been selected as one of the top 150 community colleges across the nation eligible for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Colleges eligible for this award have implemented innovative strategies to help students achieve success in their academic goals. Ten community college finalists will be announced in fall 2016.

Student Health for Student Success
A variety of health services are available to students at little to no cost at the FC Health Center. Health Services representatives are available for class presentations to educate students about available services on campus, Title IX, emotional/psychological counseling and other student health and wellness issues. Faculty and staff may schedule a Health Services classroom presentation by going to the Health Services

Volunteers Needed for Food Bank
The FC Food Bank is looking for staff and student volunteers to work shifts in the food bank to organize and distribute food, clean as needed, pick up food donations from various departments across campus, stock and organize donations, provide good customer service and other various tasks. Learning and the Brain: The Multiple Pathways Model
In this workshop, attendees will experience new and exciting pathways that will energize instruction and strategies for accessing these additional pathways in order to reach diverse and struggling learners. Come prepared to laugh, learn, experience and engage. Presented by neuroscientist Janet Zadina, this workshop is on Friday, Feb. 5 at 9 a.m. at Cypress College in CC-Plex 414. Hire Me Workshop for Full-Time Faculty Positions

Tickets for adults are $10, students and seniors are $7 and children are $5 for this concert in the Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 7.
The Fullerton College Art Gallery will launch its 2016 Artist in Residence exhibition on Thursday, Feb. 11 and will run through Monday, April 4. Dill works in sculpture, photography and performance using a variety of media and techniques to explore themes of language, the body and transformational experience. Titled "The Poetic Voice," the selections are on loan from the Frederick Weisman Art Foundation. For information, follow the Art Gallery on Facebook.

After getting past Cypress on Wednesday by two points, the Hornets made it interesting at home Friday night just edging Irvine Valley 66-65.

Women's Basketball
The FC women's basketball team took on #9 in SoCal Irvine Valley in the Hornets Nest on Friday night and lost to the Lasers 54-35. The loss bumps the Hornets down to 5-14 overall and 1-6 in the Orange Empire Conference.

Softball
The Lady Hornets took a trip down south to Palomar College on Friday and knocked off the #2 team in the state 9-7. The win was a big one as Fullerton came into the game unranked in the CCCFPCA Pre-Season Poll, while Palomar (0-1) was ranked #2 in the state and #1 in Southern California.
Up Next: Fullerton (1-0) will host San Bernardino College this Wednesday, Feb. 3. Game time is at 3 p.m.

The FC men's tennis team opened up the 2016 season with a 6-3 road-win against El Camino College on Wednesday. On Thursday, FC hosted top-ranked Mt. San Antonio College and lost 9-0.
