Dear CIM Supporters,
Today is the first day of our spring term. We look forward to seeing you this
week! It's not too late to register! Sign up for a
group class
today,
or contact Lorin (
lvelikonja@centerforirishmusic.org
) to set up private lessons.
It's been a busy couple of weeks in the office, so please do not hesitate to send us a reminder if we haven't gotten back to you yet.
We are all in the office today.
We are very excited to be welcoming uilleann piper, Tom Klein, to our teaching staff! Tom will be teaching Monday evenings.
On Saturday February 20th, CIM will co-host
Éigse CIM, A Gaela Event -
our annual fundraising dinner, concert, and silent auction with honorary chairs Peter Killen of Cara Irish Pubs and Claire Killen of Emerald Real Estate. Together, we invite you to dress up in your finest, invite your friends, and join us for a fantastic evening of delicious food, live traditional Irish music and an enticing item-filled silent auction.
Finally, mark your calendars for June 10-12th for the
9th Annual Minnesota Irish Music Weekend
featuring a uniquely Irish-American line-up of Brian Conway (fiddle), Billy McComiskey (accordion), Brendan Dolan (flute & piano), the return of the amazing Joanie Madden (whistle & silver flute) and Sheila Shigley (song). In addition to the Great Session Experience and the Master concert, there will be workshops & lectures and excellent trad music programs for children, teens, and tweens throughout the weekend!

Éigse [eg-shuh] is an Irish word used for festivals celebrating
traditional Irish arts and culture. It is in this spirit that we gather
for an evening to raise funds for The Center for Irish Music
and the mission of handing down traditional Irish music.
TO RESERVE A TABLE OR PURCHASE TICKETS:
This semi-formal evening event includes two ticket options for attendees: come early to share a meal provided by
Cara Irish Pubs
, or join us later in the evening for the silent auction and concert featuring the stellar traditional Irish music of the
CIM Instructors
who boast recording, award winning, and world touring artists among their number.
TO DONATE TO THE SILENT AUCTION:
Funds raised at this auction go towards increasing our programming, maintaining quality instructors for our students, sharing the CIM's talents with the larger Twin Cities' community in the form of outreach performances, and so many smaller, yet significant projects that make the CIM a thriving music school.
