Annual Meeting  
Plans are proceeding for the Partnership's Annual Meeting, with 24 area businesses already signed up as sponsors. The meeting will be held Thursday, February 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the General Morgan Inn and feature heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks with a social time before the brief program which will be highlighted by the presentation of the Business of the Year and the Champion of the Year awards. Sponsorship at a cost of $275 provides free attendance for two and recognition on all printed and electronic promotions. The general cost is $30 per person. Annual Legislative Breakfast
Invitations have gone out for the Annual Legislative Breakfast Friday, March 11, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the General Morgan Inn & Conference Center.  Summers Taylor, Inc. will be the sponsor. The meal will be followed by a forum presided over by area legislators, including State Senator Steve Southerland and Representatives David Hawk and Jeremy Faison.  This breakfast provides all individuals the opportunity to talk directly with their elected officials.  The cost is $20 per person paid in advance or $25 at the door.  The deadline for making or canceling reservations is Tuesday, March 8.  Individuals who make reservations will be responsible for the cost unless they call to cancel before the deadline.  For more information call the Partnership offices at 638-4111.
Farm Credit Mid-America Ribbon Cutting 
Please join the Green Coat Ambassadors at a ribbon cutting for the new building of Farm Credit Mid-America Friday, March 18, at 11 a.m.  The business is located at 100 Nevada Avenue.

Education & Workforce Development
Teacher Supply Depot
Forty-eight certified teachers in the Greeneville and Greene County school systems were provided the opportunity to shop for free classroom supplies January 26 at the opening of the Teacher Supply Depot. A total of more than $3,669 of free supplies was distributed to the teachers during the opening. Participating educators were assisted in registering and shopping by Greene County Youth Council members, who also delivered the supplies to the teachers' vehicles. Laughlin Memorial Hospital generously donates space for the Teacher Supply Depot. Several businesses and organizations have made contributions to the depot, including Walmart Logistics, the Niswonger Foundation, John Deere Power Products, Volunteer Center of Greeneville/Greene County, Middle Creek Church of God, Eastman Credit Union and Walmart SuperCenter. Antique Appraisal Fair & Show
The 11th Annual Antique Appraisal Fair & Show will be held Saturday, February 13, at Greeneville High School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is FREE. Numerous vendors will be participating and certified appraisers will be available to assess the value of antiques for a fee of $5 per item. A preview party will be held Friday, February 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. for those wishing to shop early. The preview will feature live entertainment, light hors d'oeuvres, and door prizes. Admission to the preview party will be $10 per person. This event is a project of the Greene County Partnership Tourism Department and is sponsored by the Greeneville City School System. Capital Theatre Fundraising Campaign
The Capitol Theatre has kicked off a fundraising campaign for the Capitol Bluegrass Revival Concert Series that plans to bring some of the best nationally-recognized bluegrass talent to the stage on the first Saturday of each month. The series will serve as an anchor to the Capitol's revitalization efforts and provide expansion of current events that include live music, theatrical performances, comedy, classic movies, children's theatre, school events, corporate functions, pageants and dance recitals. TC Jazz Band Valentine Dinner & Swing Dance
Making plans for a special Valentine? The Tusculum College Jazz Band will be hosting a benefit for the college band program Saturday, February 13, at the General Morgan. At a cost of $50 per person (with hotel packages also available), guests will enjoy a Valentine dinner and swing dance, beginning with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and followed by a prime rib, shrimp and special dessert dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the General Morgan Inn or by calling Tusculum College, 636-7303. Reservations for hotel packages must be made by contacting the General Morgan Inn.
General Morgan Inn Valentine's Weekend Activities
The General Morgan Inn will be offering a "Valentine's Weekend" package February 12-14. On Friday and Saturday, a special Valentine's Day menu will be offered with reservations required. Live music featuring Ivy Road will entertain participants Saturday night in the lobby from 7 to 10 p.m., and the weekend will conclude with a Valentine's Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday (reservations recommended). In addition, a "Sweetheart of a Sleepover" is being offered from Friday to Sunday at a cost of $99 per night, based on double occupancy. For more information, contact the General Morgan at 787-1000.
Takoma Obstetrics Recognized
Congratulations to Takoma Regional Hospital on receiving the 2016 Women's Choice Award as one of the country's "Best Hospitals for Obstetrics."
