On Tuesday, December 22, 2015 The GrowHaus, a nonprofit indoor farm, market, and education center working to improve food access in NE Denver's most under-served communities, will be hosting a community toy drive. The holiday season can be extremely tough for many families in the community, which makes giving their kids holiday gifts sometimes impossible. They have nearly 600 children signed up to receive a gift through our toy drive, and they're asking for donations to ensure they all get a present. YOU can make a difference! On Saturday, December 5, 2015 Navajo Refining employees, their contractors including CAP Logistics, and many citizens from Artesia, NM assembled and delivered 313 Christmas bikes to the Grand Heights Kindergarten.
Ride for Bikes, a public charity, celebrated its tenth year in 2015 of providing bikes to children in southeastern New Mexico.
For the past two years, every kindergartner in Artesia has received a new bike. More than 2,800 bikes have been provided to children through the generosity of donors and volunteers...
