This is the 3 rd edition of the Chatham Borough Newsletter!  Each quarter, our newsletter will arrive via email to remind you of important upcoming events, key dates, and general information about what's happening in the Borough.  This and more can also be found on the Chatham Borough website.  

Here are some of the highlights happening this winter and important general information.  We've made it a simple bulleted list so it's easy to print and hang on the fridge!

Shorter days and getting colder in December:
  •   Thursday, December 24 th
    • Santa arrives Fire House Plaza at 2:00 p.m.
    • Recycling Pickup
    • Routes A & B Trash Pickup
    • Library Closed
  • Christmas Day & 1 st Day of Kwanzaa, December 25 th
    • Municipal Offices, Library and Schools Closed
    • NO trash or Recycling Pickup
  • Library closed on Sunday, December 27 th
Days are getting longer in January:
  • New Year's Day
    • Municipal Offices, Library and Schools closed
    • NO Trash pickup or RECYCLING
  • Saturday, January 2nd
    • First RECYCLING pickup
    • Route B Trash Pickup
  • Monday, January 4th
    • Borough Council Reorganization Meeting at 7:30 p.m.
    • Christmas Tree Pickup
  • Monday, January 11th----Christmas Tree Pickup
  • Monday, January 18th,Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
    • Municipal Offices and Schools Closed
    • Route A Trash Pickup
  • Friday, January 29th----Dog and Cat License Renewals Due.
  • Reminder----Clear Snow From Fire Hydrants in your Neighborhood.
Look at the seed catalogs in February:
  • Monday, February 1st through Wednesday, February 10th----Taxes Due
  • President's Day, Monday, February 15th
    • Municipal Offices and Schools Closed
    • Route A Trash Pickup
Snow should be melting in March:
  • Wednesday, March 9th, 1:00-4:00 p.m.----Mulch Area Reopens
  • Beginning Saturday, March 12th running through Friday, March 18th----Library Book Sale
  • First day of Spring on Saturday, March 19th
  • Monday, March 21st----Curbside Brush Pickup
  • Good Friday, March 25th
    • Municipal Offices, Schools and Library Closed
    • Route B Trash Pickup and Recycling
  • Easter, March 27th----Library Closed

  • Spring registration information will be posted on the Chatham Recreation website for the Spring 2016 Track, Baseball, Softball and Lacrosse season.
  • Track is open to girls and boys in grades 3-8. Baseball, Softball and Lacrosse are open to those in grades K-8.
