Palm Sunday
Give Up Spending

Luke 11:37-42

As we think about Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem and the palm branches that were waved in his honor, we remember that Jesus always looked out for the people in the streets. He often told those who had nice things and were comfortable in this life to watch out, and to use what they had to care for others. We use so much of our money on things that are neither good nor bad, but that could instead be used to help those in the streets. We remember this week that Jesus was willing to give up everything for us to know God's love and grace. Can we give up a portion of our spending in order to do the same?

All children's Sunday School classes will participate in the palm processional at the 9:30 and 11am worship times. Children attending worship during those times are also invited to participate!

Saturday at 5pm

Sunday at 8:15, 9:30 and 11am

West Campus at 11am

Eggstravaganza

Sunday, March 29
4:30-6:30pm
Hallelujah Center Field

Join us for pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs and treats; bounce houses; crafts and games; and one giant egg hunt!

Want to help make this a special event for the children of our church and community? Fill plastic eggs with candy and trinkets (no chocolate or nut products, please) and deliver to the tub outside Room 203 in the Family Life Center. We can accept eggs until this Saturday morning. They will be sorted at Mission 1025!

We need volunteers to set up, monitor bounce houses, serve food, and assist with crafts and games. Please contact Kristin to volunteer as soon as possible.

Holy Week Worship

We all live highly stressful and full lives. Giving up stress sounds wonderful, but it is very difficult to put into practice. We believe our stress is something out of our control, something placed on us by others, but it is not. Stress is a combination of being overly busy and unfocused on what is most important. If we rest the way God commands us to rest, and if we remember that our value and worth come from being children of God, not from our accomplishments, then we can give up the stress of our daily lives. This does not mean that there will be less to do, or that we cannot complete the tasks and expectations of others. It simply means that we will know what to worry about and what to not worry about. Resting the way that God designed keeps us from feeling burnt out and exhausted. Join us around Christ's table on Holy Thursday, April 2 at 7pm, as we remember who we are and find rest as God's children.

On Good Friday we will focus on the three prayers of Jesus at the cross. Through music, dance, narration and scripture the cantata Prayers at the Cross follows the events of Jesus' crucifixion and invites us to consider these three prayers and their impact on our own lives. We invite you to join our Chancel Choir and other participants in this time of reflection on Friday, April 3 at 7pm.
