Gobble It Down Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce has been a staple of our Thanksgiving meals ever since we can remember. But a few years ago, someone gave us this recipe for fresh cranberry sauce and we loved it so much, it's now a part of our Thanksgiving tradition. Even better - it's so easy to make. Ron and I wish you and yours a safe and savory Thanksgiving holiday!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup orange juice (NOT from concentrate!)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
12 oz package fresh cranberries, rinsed with stems removed
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

In a saucepan, combine orange juice, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add cranberries and raisins and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, stirring about 5 minutes or until cranberries pop. Remove from heat and stir in nuts. Can be served warm, but we usually make this the day before, store it in a container in the fridge and serve it cold. Will keep in the refrigerator for several days.
