NERF and AACTFest Reminder
New England Regional Festival
Two Eastern Massachusetts groups will enter the first phase of the national festival cycle by attending the Regional State Festival in Torrington, Connecticut on February 28 and March 1. The Hovey Players' cutting of Rabbit Hole and the Lexington Players' cutting of Spring Awakening will be representing EMACT. Both groups will perform on Saturday, February 28.  If you never attended a festival, a unique experience awaits you. You are treated to a complete theatre experience featuring works representing the Eastern Region: Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Eastern Mass and Western Mass. Some state festivals will be sending two groups as their geographic areas are large.  The Warner Theatre is located at 68 Main Street in Torrington CT 06790.

SFX Makeup Artist and Litchfield native, TYLER GREEN, will teach a master class on the magical art form of special effect makeup and prosthetics. In addition to a lively discussion about the nature of this intricate art form as well as his own experiences as a special effects artist and finalist on the smash hit TV series FACE OFF, Tyler will also take us through steps to create realistic bruising and simple wounds for stage and screen.

The entry that wins at the Regional State festival will be invited to attend the National Festival, which opens on June 23, 2015 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
