Being Winning Women in Christ through Sports
Seeing Women Win in Christ through Sports
True Beauty
1 Peter 3:3-4

"Do not let your adorning be external--the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear--but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in god's sight is very precious."
What matters more? Do we put more emphasis on how we look on the outside or on how we look on the inside, which ends up coming out in our words and actions?

This doesn't mean we can't braid our hair or wear jewelry. It means we need to look at our motives and what we care more about.

True beauty is that of a gentle and quiet spirit. It's the hidden person no one else can see except Christ. Is it one that trusts and holds on to hope in Jesus? Is it one that waits on God and follows His ways?

When that true beauty is within, it only makes the outer beauty shine no matter what size, shape, color or hairstyle we have.

KELSEY KRUSE

Kelsey will be graduating this spring from Huntington University having majored in Broadcast Fusion Media and minored in Psychology. She played volleyball all four years of college and will now continue as a club volleyball coach. She is great at video interviewing both behind and in front of the camera. The passion that drives her is for females to understand their identity in Christ and confront different struggles that prevent them from doing so. She hopes to be a part of conferences that deal with this in the future. She has played an integral role for Winning Women in capturing some amazing women in sports and their stories on video.

The Manly Minute:
Reconciling the male and female relationship
IT'S NOT ALWAYS HIS FAULT

In Genesis 3, God first confronted Adam and asked if he had eaten of the tree they had been commanded not to eat. Adam instantly blamed Eve. God then asked Eve what she had done. The woman instantly blamed the serpent (Satan).

Who sinned?

Satan had already sinned which is why he was in the garden in the first place. Now, Adam and Eve both sinned. They both individually chose to eat the fruit they both knew not to eat no matter who influenced who.

Understanding this helps in dealing with different relationships, marriage and beyond. It is SO easy to get defensive and blame the other person for a hurtful situation. While that person very well may have wronged you, we often do not react in the right way either. We cannot control what the other person did, but we can control what we do. Was the fruit of the Spirit a result? Or did our response only make matters worse? Let's work towards obedience in our own lives, choosing God's way. This is repentance, forgiveness, and following His way to make things right.
