IT'S NOT ALWAYS HIS FAULT
In Genesis 3, God first confronted Adam and asked if he had eaten of the tree they had been commanded not to eat. Adam instantly blamed Eve. God then asked Eve what she had done. The woman instantly blamed the serpent (Satan).
Who sinned?
Satan had already sinned which is why he was in the garden in the first place. Now, Adam and Eve both sinned. They both individually chose to eat the fruit they both knew not to eat no matter who influenced who.
Understanding this helps in dealing with different relationships, marriage and beyond. It is SO easy to get defensive and blame the other person for a hurtful situation. While that person very well may have wronged you, we often do not react in the right way either. We cannot control what the other person did, but we can control what we do. Was the fruit of the Spirit a result? Or did our response only make matters worse? Let's work towards obedience in our own lives, choosing God's way. This is repentance, forgiveness, and following His way to make things right.
