HOSTOS RECEIVES LARGEST GRANT 
AWARD  IN COLLEGE'S HISTORY

Hostos Community College's Division for Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) has been awarded a five-year, $10.7 million Health Profession Opportunity Grant (HPOG) from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to operate its Allied Health Career Pipeline Program.

HOSTOS CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH 
 
 
"What better place is there to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month than Hostos Community College?"

That question came from Hostos President Dr. David Gómez, as the College launched its month-long celebration by recognizing important Latino leaders on September 15.

FOOD STUDIES PROGRAM CONTINUES 
 TO GAIN ATTENTION

William Nunez, a second-year student at Hostos Community College, has had a long-standing interest in nutrition, and was conscious of health issues because of diabetes in his family. I met William during a recent visit to the College, where the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund is supporting the start-up of a new Food Studies program.

ABOUT CYBERBULLYING 

Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture and Hostos Repertory Company are proud to announce the New York City premiere of the theatrical production  of Henry's Law an important and timely play about bullying by Stacie Lents.

HOSTOS AGAIN SUPPORTING BRIDES MARCH
 
 
On September 26, members of the Hostos family participated and hosted a closing ceremony for the 15th Annual NYC Gladys Ricart and Victims of Domestic Violence Memorial Walk, also known as "Brides' March."
