As I write this, only a couple of days remain to receive applications to our Fellows Program. I am delighted to report that we have 19 Year-2 Fellows and approximately 18 Year-1 Fellows (a number that may yet grow) for our 2015-2016 Fellows year. Both groups are 50/50 men and women which is highly desired.
Numbers should never be the sole measure of success, but I am grateful that so many of our past Fellows are encouraging others to participate in this life-transforming discipleship course. It is life-transforming not because of our mentors, speakers, or curriculum, but because our Fellows are drawn to this program by the Spirit (vs recruited) and then the program encourages them to surrender to the work of the Spirit in their lives Who does the transformational work.
One of the joys of being involved with this from year to year is to see how Fellows graduates are equipped for Kingdom service and go on to lead through serving in their churches, communities, vocations, and mission fields.
Several of our Saint John's College students are graduating after having been faithful to the men and women's weekly fellowship for two to four years. Again, it is a delight to see them go out and begin to serve in the Kingdom using what they have learned through their time with the Institute and its mentors.
I am also sad to see Amy Yearwood leave Annapolis this month, but also delighted to report that she is leaving to be married and move to Florida. Elaine Mitchem has already stepped in for Amy and is now performing the part-time duties of Planning and Event Coordinator for CSLI Annapolis.
As events for this CSLI year is winding down (see calendar below for May/June events), we are already beginning to plan for some major events in the fall to include Ravi Zacharias (September 20/21), and Ken Boa (
Nov 19-22). So mark your calendars and watch this space for more information later in the summer.
Thanks for all your support this academic year, lives continue to be changed through your generosity of time, money, and prayers.
Blessings all...
