JASPER COUNTY FAMILY CONNECTION

"Family Treatment Court"
COMMUNITY MEETING
on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
 at the Jasper County Courthouse in Room 224 (Small Courtroom).

Juvenile Court Judge for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit
 
The Family Treatment Court (FTC) was implemented in July 2013 and currently serves Baldwin, Jones, Putnam, and Wilkinson Counties. The court is expanding to Jasper, Greene, and Morgan Counties.
FTC's were created as part of the drug court movement and addresses substance-abuse and parenting within the child welfare system. The program offers a range of services to parents, including parenting skills, domestic violence education and counseling, mental health maintenance, and evidence-based substance abuse treatment designed to strengthen the family as a whole.
FTC's are comprised of active judicial leadership including a juvenile court judge, the Department of Family and Children Services and substance-abuse treatment professionals. These agencies plan, implement, and assign staff to an operational team that works in the FTC on a day-to-day basis.
FTC requires the involvement of the community for resources which help to solve the myriad of practical problems addicts have hindering recovery.
Community support will be vital for sustaining the FTC!

FILL THE WINDOW IN JANUARY - SUPPORT THE JASPER COUNTY FOOD BANK
The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce is again, this year volunteering to help the Jasper County Community Food Bank (JCCFB), and needs everyone to j oin in the promotion. The idea is to fill the window at the Visitors' Center with goods to be donated to the food bank. The Food Bank is run entirely by volunteers.  It serves many families and seniors in Jasper County, and after the holidays, donations slow down, typically. All non-perishable food is welcome, and protein-rich canned meats, soups, beans, and meals are especially sought. Canned fruits and vegetables are also appreciated as are all donations.

2016 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - January 14, 2016
    

SILENT AUCTION to be held at ANNUAL MEETING - January 14, 2016
 
PLEASE SPONSOR A TABLE AT OUR ANNUAL MEETING ...!  We are asking for volunteers/businesses/merchants to donate a centerpiece for our tables at the annual meeting. The centerpieces will be numbered and we will have a SILENT AUCTION for them.
The money collected will go to the Monticello Community Band who is providing our jazz entertainment for the evening.
