Worship with us this Sunday!
Join us this Sunday for Traditional Worship at 9:30am or Informal at 11:00am. You will really appreciate the music at both services! Our scriptures are Isaiah 43:1-7 (one my all-time favorites) and Matthew 3:11-17 the story of Jesus' Baptism...with a sermon entitled  River, Water, Spirit, Grace. There is reassurance upon reassurance in these readings. Jesus is baptized by John - even though John didn't feel worthy. We all have a role to play. The Spirit of God descends and brings grace and much more - even though that's really all we need!

Join us at the mosque this Sunday afternoon!

Reminder about 2016 pledges.
Thanks to all of the generous members and friends who have completed and submitted your 2016 pledges. For those of you who haven't, please consider submitting your pledges soon - pledge cards are available in the Gathering Space. Our Stewardship Commission and Church Council are working on the 2016 budget, and having pledges helps us plan wisely for the coming church year.  Council will be meeting on January 19 to review the proposed budget for 2016, and the budget will be submitted to the congregation at the winter congregational meeting on February 7 after our 10am One Family Worship Service.

Questions? Please call John Dwyer, Convener of the Stewardship Commission at 314-821-6073. Want to submit a pledge without fussing with a card? Please email Melinda, our Financial Administrator - [email protected]
Thank you.

Inspiration
The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular person made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a person starts afresh about things, she will certainly do nothing effective.
