This tiny car can change shape, drive sideways

The Coral Gables Museum and Bike Walk Coral Gables partnered to host a two-part event. First, participants get to tour the 'Ludlam Trail: From Grassroots to Treetops' exhibit in the museum, and then hop on their bikes for a ride on what is proposed to be a 6.2-mile long linear park. More details HERE.

Dr. Parker, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Environmental Science at FIU --one of the speakers from the Professional Development Training we hosted in September-- is available for lecturing at your school on  'Sustainable Energy for a Warming Planet' . If you would like to have him as a guest speaker for the Green Careers monthly challenge in March, contact him at [email protected] .

The Academy's Star Schools
December challenge - Water Conservation

Fourth grade students from Dante B. Fascell Elementary researched the structure and function of aquifers and built their own model to better understand where our drinking water comes from, and the importance of conserving our water supply.

The Green Team at E.W.F. Stirrup Elementary created signs inspired by their discussion about water conservation and staged a demonstration during drop off time at the school. They showed parents, teachers and fellow students how much they care about this issue.

Students from Mater Academy Charter High/Middle created a water tower. They used the money saved from the amount of water conserved to expand and upgrade the school garden.
