No Two Alike

Beautiful beautiful snowflakes, floating down to earth
All created to be unique, each holding significant worth
Just like an intricate snowflake, we come from up above
To bless the world with beauty, to sparkle to world with love
No two of us alike, we hold our own design
And because we are so different, we get a chance to shine.
When Heavenly Father makes snowflakes
I think He takes great care
He works on every detail
He makes them precious and rare
He lovingly spends time on every one
He blesses them all the way through
If He cares this much about Snowflakes
Imagine what He thinks about YOU!

POP Tots Playgroup
Join us on Saturday, January 9th for the 1st Playgroup of 2016! We will use this time to connect with one  another, run off some energy, and gather together as parents to discuss the joys and struggles of raising  children. We will meet in the CLC starting at 9:30 and will be done no later than 11:00. This will give us a chance to re-envision what ministry for this age group looks like. This is geared for children who are not yet old enough for Sunday School.
Baptism Celebration
WHAT: Baptism Celebration
WHEN: Sunday, January 10th @ 10 AM
WHO:  Anyone who has been baptized in 2015           and their families
WHY:  To help create a baptismal                             birthday  tradition and to find ways to               help you as parents (or adults) uphold             the promises that were made at                     Baptism.
PreK-K Royal Celebration
On January 17th, all PreK-K students are invited to join us, during our regular Sunday School time, for a Royal Banquet to celebrate the story of Queen Esther.  We encourage you to dress your child in their princess & prince/knight costumes for this grand celebration!  (Feel free to bring an extra costume if you have one.) We will also have crowns available for those that might not have a costume. We will have food that is fit for a King and Queen, and activities that are only suitable for Royalty.  We may even have a special guest!  You won't want to miss out!
Summer Sunday
One way to get through the cold temperatures of January is to START THINKING SUMMER! Join us on the 24th as we roll out all of our Summer Ministry Opportunities, such as POPS Camp, Summer Day Camp, WAPO, and MORE! There will be Summer booklets available for pick-up as well as Scholarship forms. ALSO: For those sending your child to WAPO, or requesting a scholarship, please plan to attend a short meeting @ 10 AM in the CLC to talk about Plant Sale, Scholarship Form requirements, and more.  
PLEASE NOTE: WAPO Registration will open BEFORE this date, and we will send the link when it is up and running

POPpers Tubing @ Elm Creek
Tubing
All POPpers kids AND their Families, are invited to join us for a winter afternoon of SNOWTUBING!  Mark your calendars for January 24th!  We will be snowtubing @ Elm Creek Park Reserve.  We will be tubing from 1:00-3:00 pm.  Your son and/or daughter should get dropped off and picked up at Elm Creek.  The cost for this event is $15 per person (plus tax).  If you are planning on coming, please let Katie so she can keep an eye out. Friends are welcome and I encourage you to invite them!  Please make sure you have the waiver form filled out upon arrival. Parents are also encouraged to attend, but if you don't want to sled, there is a warm place to hang out.

Church Wide Announcements
* This Sunday, January 10, we are bringing back "Ask the Pastors." A majority of the service will be designated for you as congregation members to ask questions that you may have
* Also, join us this Sunday, in between services, as we say good-bye to Judy Blomgren. She is leaving Prince of Peace to pursue another adventure. We wish her well and are celebrating her ministry here with cake and goodies.
* Our next GroupLife (Small Group) session begins the week of January 11th. If you are interested in joining a small group, please contact  Natalia and she will help get you in a group.
* On Sunday, January 17th we are having our Annual Meeting. The meeting will start shortly after the end of the 10:30 Service (around 11:45)
* On Saturday, February 20th we are heading to the Faith and Family night at the Timberwolves Game. Tickets are $27 and need to be purchased (and paid for) by January 20th.
* Our next New Member class is on February 7th and 14th. If you are interested in becoming a new member, please contact Lynell
