Here are a few highlights from the ongoing work at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).
Santa Clara's Hotel Occupancy Breaks Record, up to 85% in April

Hotel rooms in the city of Santa Clara were in demand in April, 2016 when the city saw hotel occupancy rise to 85% (compared to 82% previous April). The percentage is significantly ahead of the national hotel occupancy average of 66% (Statista.com).

The Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has been very aggressive this past year getting the word out about all there is to see and do in the city. "Our staff has worked  hard  both  before and after the Super Bowl to make sure the Santa Clara  brand is out there to both visitors and prospective meeting and event planners," says Lisa Moreno, general manager & CEO of the Santa Clara Convention Center & Convention and Visitors Bureau. "More people than ever before now know where Santa Clara is on the map," says Moreno.  
 
CVB Welcomes Copa America Centenario 2016

The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has been busy welcoming visitors to the Copa America Centenario 2016. Santa Clara is among 10 cities hosting matches for this prestigious soccer tournament of the Americas with games at Levi's Stadium on June 3, 7, 13, and 18. The CVB is featuring Copa America on its www.santaclara.org website's Home Page and welcoming fans and players via numerous social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, Google +, and other platforms. 
 
Copa America has also been featured in several CVB generated eBlasts sent to an opt-in database of newsletter subscribers. The Santa Clara matches feature teams from the U.S., Columbia, Argentina, Chile, Jamaica, Uruguay, and also a tournament quarterfinal match.

The Santa Clara Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) in partnership with Destination Advantage LLC. has launched a new Visit Santa Clara website at www.SantaClara.org.

As the official destination marketing organization for the city, the website is the leading source of visitor information featuring a calendar of events, online hotel reservations, attraction ticket and hotel package discounts, and much more. In May, 2016, it garnered 70,000 + user sessions and produced over 50 meeting planner leads.
