President's Message

Sharon Mitchell
SPREAD THE JOY and SPREAD THE IMPACT.

There is no better place to SPREAD THE JOY and SPREAD THE IMPACT of Impact 100 than our Annual Awards Celebration (AAC).

This year's Awards Celebration was inspirational and exciting as we had the opportunity to award FOUR grants for the first time ever.  The four grants, worth $101,000 each were awarded to FreeStore Foodbank, Activities Beyond the Classroom, May We Help, and Supports to Encourage Low Income Families (SELF).  The breakthrough projects brought to us by these agencies will have a huge impact on our community.

The ~400 members, guests and sponsors who attended the AAC were amazed and impressed by the seven finalists, and many members commented that it was an extraordinarily difficult decision to select the four grant recipients.  We all wished that we could have given seven grants - the projects were so outstanding and the finalists so deserving.

On behalf of the entire Impact 100 Board, I'd like to express thanks to the 100+ agencies who submitted grant requests, to the seven finalists, and to our event sponsors.  Most of all, I'd like to thank our members who make the grant awards possible.

The Annual Awards Celebration is the highlight of our annual giving cycle - and there is no doubt why.  It is exhilarating, rewarding and magical to experience the power of our collective giving.  This year it was also wonderful to hear about the IMPACT that several past recipients have had as they've undertaken the work funded by our Impact 100 grants.

It's now time to begin a new giving cycle - to recruit members for the 2016 Impact 100 year.

If you are currently a member of Impact 100 - I encourage you to renew your membership for 2016.  If you are considering joining as a new member, I encourage you to learn more about our wonderful organization - and to join.  We have several opportunities for you to experience Impact 100 (Beers with Impact 100 on October 22nd, Giving Tuesday on December 1st, and several "Spread the Word" Events during October, November and December).  See our Website for more information.

For the 300+ women who have already committed to join Impact 100 in 2016 - THANK YOU!!!  I promise you it will be a rewarding experience - with the opportunity to award grants to more deserving agencies!  Please encourage a friend or colleague to join - so we can THRIVE WITH FIVE in 2016!

Warm Regards,
Sharon Mitchell

Impact 100 is strongly committed to supporting the next generation of Philanthropists, and has started a pilot Young Philanthropists program through the generosity of donors. Become A Member Of Impact!
Thinking about becoming a Member of Impact 100? Our Members are 100% Impact 100!

Our goal is to offer women like YOU, of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and participate in transformational grant making, giving each of us the ability to make a visible difference in the lives of many in Greater Cincinnati.  While every gift to a non-profit is beneficial, the collective effect of Impact 100 is truly life-changing. With Impact 100, many smaller gifts combine to become one large gift, creating what the first recipient described as "the biggest Christmas present we could ever get." For every 100 "individual" members, Impact 100 donates at least $100,000 to a worthy non-profit within our ten county region. The number and amount of grants are determined each year by the number of women who join Impact 100 as members. The more members we have, the more grants we can give. Your contribution provides a direct and immediate benefit: 100% of your member contribution is given away each year as part of our collective grants.
Get involved by attending any of our upcoming events or committees of interest for 2016.

We need YOUR help to Thrive with Five in 2016!
