Welcome to the new school term,
I hope you and your family enjoyed the summer break.
As we settle back into routine and before the term gets into full swing, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you the outstanding GCSE results we achieved over the summer.
We had 214 students taking exams this summer and they achieved 75% 5 A* to C including English and Maths, bettering last year's figure by 10%. As well as increasing the school's strength in the core subjects, the students demonstrated their broader abilities with exceptional achievements in enrichment subjects such as Creative Arts, Humanities, PE and Computing, with an overall 5 A* to C pass rate of 83%.
All at Perins are delighted with these results which reward the hard work of both students and staff. The students have demonstrated and proved with these outstanding results that Perins is an exceptional learning establishment.
As a parent myself, I very much value the partnership between home and school and understand that for every individual in our care, it is important that they feel valued, safe and supported throughout their life at Perins. I am confident that we will work together to ensure that every student has the optimal learning environment inside and outside of school which will develop the young people both academically and pastorally.
