April '15 #PAAlum e-Update

In the last update, I invited you to complete the Planning Our Future #PAAlum SurveyMonkey.  It was one part getting reconnected with you and your current leadership journey, and one part getting your best thinking about how Public Allies should move forward in the next five years.  I'm delighted to share with you that we heard from nearly 540 #PAAlum/#StaffAlum across our network, with nearly half of them from the Class of '08 and prior.  ,

In this opening message, I wanted to acknowledge a few #PAAlum leaders:  Vicki Rubio (IN '14), Daniel Elkins (DE '14) and Julie Mendez (MD '10) who did the impressive effort of sorting and analyzing your answers to these open-ended strategy questions, and creating a summary of themes for our Strategic Planning Committee to consider.

I'm grateful for the contribution of our #PAAlum that completed the survey, as well as these #PAAlum for their volunteer sense-making efforts to ensure that #PAAlum voice would be strongly integrated into our strategic planning.

Also as a result of the survey, we learned more about you.  That you wanted more opportunities to hear about your fellow Alum's successes, as well as more ways to support your fellow Alum, and more resources to advance your own leadership goals.  We touch on all three in this month's update.

But, as usual, before we get to that stuff, it's time for my personal Call To Action.  This is for those Alumni who haven't checked in with us yet.  I have a goal of mapping 1,200 #PAAlum by July 2015 - this means getting updated contact and career information, as well as your 2015 leadership goal.  If you didn't complete the Planning Our Future, I invite you to click on the link below my signature so I can add you to the map.  Let's do this!
