of your seating plan
in Webtix

Want the colors of your online seating plan to match the colors of your website?

Or want the colors to reflect price categories?

It's simple! Just let us know which colors you want and we'll upload them.

In the example below, a Webtix subscriber wanted its patrons to easily see which seats were in the "gold," "silver," and "bronze" categories.

If you have specific shades of colors, please send them to us as HEX codes or RGB (Your web designer will know about these formats.)

You will need a service contract in place for this service or you can pay a nominal fee on a per incident basis.

  • The Performance Summary report will now list only performances within the chosen date range.
  • You can now run a generic search by date and time.
houseseatsAll about house seats
Last month we asked you to tell us if and how you use House Seats. A big thank you to everyone who responded!

What we learned is that in most organizations, only managers have the authority to use or release the House Seats. "We like the fact that we can restrict tellers from selling house seats and need manager intervention," says Paul Mashl of St. Norbert College.

"House seats are used by management for trades with other businesses, and last minute donor and VIP admissions," adds Scott Haden of Rocky Mountain Repertory.

Many theatres reported that if the House Seats aren't given or used shortly before the performance, they are sold to the public at that time. But exactly when to release the seats depends on the theatre and circumstances around the performance.

"Any remaining seats are automatically released one hour prior to the start of the show," reports Sheila Smith of Andy Williams Moon River Theatre. "If ticket sales have been slower during the day, they should be released earlier to prevent a "hole" where empty seats would be."

Tim Erickson of Bloomington Theatre and Art Center has six House Seats but "four of them are never released. We reserve them for handling seating issues only. I have found that seating issues that require the use of house seats usually crop up right about curtain time. We don't sell these seats. After we would sell them, the need for them would arise," he says.
birdA word from the bird
Have you ever called Center Stage and wondered, "What is that noise in the background? Do they have birds in their office?"

Hi, I'm Liberace. And yes, it is probably me you are listening to. I live in the aviary adjacent to the main offices of Center Stage with several of my friends. In fact, I make more noise than the rest of the aviary combined.

I have several important jobs:
  • I let the humans know what is happening.
  • I lead the rest of the birds in song.
  • I wake up the other birds in the morning.
  • The rest of the time, I just hang around, looking good.
There is another cockatiel in the mirror in a corner of the aviary. I spend a lot of time telling him of my passions and frustrations. He listens to me very patiently. I appreciate a friend like that.
