SPIRITUAL WARFARE BOOT CAMP!

Princess Warriors Ministries hosted and facilitated a spiritual warfare boot camp taught by Rose Carlin. This was held in Bluffton on January 22 for PW Leadership and invited guests.

Participants were taught about personal spiritual warfare, how to recognize it, and how to stand against it. Here's a nugget from Rose's Call to Arms challenge to us: God is raising an army of anointed soldiers who are activated with his authority to sound the alarm to be awake, alert...covered in his armor and armed with his ammunition, able to annihilate the works of the arch enemy of God who is on assignment to destroy the lives of those he purchased abundant life for... Your success in battle will depend on your knowledge of your enemy's warfare strategies and battle tactics, and your ability to not only defend yourself with armor, but to confidently use the same weaponry that Jesus did against the enemy!

26 princess warrior's leaders and guests were also given the opportunity to practice applying some of the tools we were taught in the workshop. We are so grateful for Rose and Wendy Farr for the well thought out formatting for the evening.

OUTREACH UPDATE

Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

This scripture came across my path last week via a good friend. She gave it to me on a small card she had created to honor an evening when a group of us had gathered to watch the movie "War Room." I can't tell you how many times I have pulled this little card out since that night. It has been a continual reminder to me about friendship and how important it is, especially in the body of believers. Many people view this scripture through the eyes of marriage, for which it IS wise counsel, but it also causes me to think about how important and how very valuable true, godly friendships are.

Jesus was the perfect example to us in that he was a friend to the disciples. Yes, of course, the disciples learned very valuable lessons that were delivered to them straight from the very mouth of God, but I strongly believe that the disciples and Jesus shared "real life" together...they ate together, they traveled together, slept in gardens, on boats, and attended feasts, weddings, and funerals together. Were they always praying? Casting out demons? Preaching? While we know for a fact, that they did ALL these things because it is written in the bible, have you ever considered the in-between? I can only imagine leg slapping, belly-laughing while lounging after a meal! At times they must have empathized with each other by the shedding of or wiping of each other's tears. Words of encouragement surely must have been spoken over a difficult decision...how about being just downright silly together?!

Jesus LOVED his Father (relationship). Jesus LOVED his disciples (relationship). And they LOVED him (relationship). They were his friends (friendship), and he was theirs (friendship). It was real and probably messy at times, but God knit them together with himself (the cord of 3), and they knew together they could conquer what came their way; they would not be quickly broken as if they stood alone. They were believers supporting believers. In that same way, may we find ourselves, as the body of believers, cultivating meaningful, godly, relationships...in that same way, let us have eyes to see those around us that may need a friend to love and laugh with.

Princess Warriors Small Groups is a great way to engage!  Give us a call to join a group...we invite you to share in genuine, transparent, and loving fellowship as we sit at the feet of Jesus and study God's Word.

BIBLE STUDY:
ART PROJECT - "In His Shoes"

Led by Karen Vester
When:  Monday Nights, starting Jan. 25th, approx. 6 weeks
Where: Bluffton Chamber of Commerce
Time:    6:15-8:00pm
This will be a project for ALL JPW age groups to participate

Take the time to really be mindful of how others can look at your creation (your shoe) and see you. Put your heart into it! Just as Jesus looks at our hearts, we want to see your hearts shining through your shoe!

This project came about when I was attending a university and was asked to create an exhibition on peace and reconciliation. I researched in Northern Ireland and that's where I learned about "The Troubles" which lasted more than 25 years. Protestants and Catholics do not get along there and wouldn't even walk on the same side of the street or live in the same part of town. In 1998, the Good Friday Agreement was signed, which is like a peace treaty. To help them heal, learn compassion for one another and bring forth peace and reconciliation, "In My Shoes" project was created.

Leaders had both Protestants and Catholics create a shoe that represents who each one of them is as a person. Once they did, they brought them together in the same room! They sat in a large circle with their shoes and studied each others. Next, they spoke about what they felt it would be like to be in each others' shoes. A lot of healing took place with such a project. They began understanding each other as people--without discrimination based on skin color, or religion or if they were rich or poor. They saw each other for who they are as a person--what is on the inside! Again, just as Jesus would!

I  am looking forward to hear what the girls learn from this art project.

OVER THE T
OP
What a BLAST! I know the Angels in Heaven celebrated as they watched 18 young JPW ladies, ages 10-15, enjoy spirit filled worship! Jimmy Needham shared the Gospel, like never before. They heard the anointed Speaker/ Preacher/ Author, D A Horton's sermon on AWAKENED to the good news of Jesus Christ! WOW! He had these girls clinging to God's every word! Our night also included hearing, first hand, from other young Christian hearts on fire for the Lord. What a blessing to witness!

The night was just the beginning! We came back to the hotel and enjoyed indoor swimming, food, sweet fellowship and lots of laughter! "Ain't no party like a Jesus Party!!" True statement Stephanie Dowling!!

"I had such an amazing weekend with our 10-11 year old girls at Over the Top! Seeing them learn about Jesus through worship and God's Word with each other was precious. I can't wait to see what He is going to do in and through these girls in the coming months and years. It's going to be AWESOME!" -Anqelique Grieve, "Littles" Core Leader

High School JPW

Salvaging My Identity. Please join us as we meet each week for a study and conversation on this 40 Day Experience for Girls and Young Women.

This book is targeted to girls and young adult women, in hopes to equip them with the truth found in God's Word about who He says they are! We will address topics from a biblical perspective from lying, pornography, self-harm, anger and other topics like spiritual apathy.

Where: Deanna's House, 104 Westbury Park Way, Bluffton
Time: Saturday Mornings 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Date: Starting February 6, 6 sessions.

The teenage JPW girls and some boys joined together for another night of dinner and a movie in January. This time they watched the amazing "Holy Spirit Reborn". It was so powerful. The girls continue to request watching more of these films. They are learning about the Spirit of God and a young man's journey around the world in his quest to make a movie that is completely led by the Holy Spirit. This voyage takes him around the world to the homeless in Brazil, a massive protest in Rome, a witch doctor in Africa and eventually to a group of Navy SEALS. Great film about the power of the Holy Spirit!

We will be Feeding The Homeless on Feb. 7, 2016.  We will prepare and serve a meal for over 300 people with People Helping People of Savannah in Forsyth Park at 12:45 p.m., across from the Brighter Day...Rain or Shine!

1. Individuals to prepare meals for us to take to site: we will be serving chili. Please use www.signupgenius.com and it will explain exactly what to bring. Next, either bring to Deanna's home Sunday morning or join us at the part by 12 noon.

Isaiah 61
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations,
and in their riches you will boast. Instead of your shame
you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. "For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my
people and make an everlasting covenant with them. Their descendants will be known among the nations people and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed." I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
