During February Santa Bob will be reviewing all of the applicants that have submitted as of today. If you have not yet submitted your offer to present a workshop, please take this as your notice. The deadline is February 29. (See, we are giving you an extra day this year).
We are planning on upwards of 40+ Workshops at the convention. The length of each workshop will be approximately 45 minutes, start to finish. It is our goal to have qualified presenters in each Workshop. To that end, we are looking for qualified individuals, couples and teams that can teach or present a subject.
We are looking for newer, fresh material and ideas for workshops, if you have an idea for something new, visit our web site and tell us of your ideas, or send an email to Santa Bob Elkin.
Presenters will not only be other Santas, Mrs. Claus, Event Photographers and Holiday professionals, but we plan on bringing in some professionals from outside the Santa community who will present on specialized subjects that relate to our industry, our work and who we serve.
We want programs that have information and value to the Santas and Mrs Claus that attend.
Please know that we are looking for qualified presenters and not for moderators or hosts to handle group or panel discussions. We will have sessions like that, but the committee will assign the moderators for those sessions.
Sometime in March or April, of 2016, after we have the semi-final list of presenters, we will send out a survey to all registered convention attendees to see what workshop subject they are most interested in attending,
From your input, the results of the survey will aid the Workshop Chairman and the Committee in deciding what workshops are most important to you. They will then select the final workshops and begin assigning meeting rooms and locations.
Offering to present a workshop does not mean that you are confirmed for a workshop. An Official confirmation will be sent to all presenters in April and will include the level of compensation you will be paid for presenting your workshop. For details on Compensations, please go to:
Compensations.
