Dear Residents,
I am concerned about a scam targeting Saddlebrook residents. My office has received calls from two families in Saddlebrook who have been contacted by
people posing as law enforcement. The caller is convincing and scares residents into thinking their grandchildren are in trouble with the law. They try to get you to wire money. In this case as much as $2000. If this happens to you, please take the information and contact your local police station. Although they sound legitimate, it is a scam.
It upsets me to see how these unscrupulous people are preying on our residents.
