Letter from the Administration
Dear Saint Theresa School parents,

I want to share with you some special and exciting news about a couple of upcoming events.

First, on Monday, February 22nd, we have booked two very distinguished presenters for our Home School Association Meeting.  Mrs. Siobhan Lidington is the Executive Director of the Bishop Scholarship Fund.  She will be here to discuss the details and the application process for the 2016-17 school year.  This current year, St. Theresa families received over $100,000.00 from this fund and with Siobhan's guidance, we hope to be able to increase this amount and be able to qualify many more recipients.

The other guest on February 22nd will be Mrs. Carolanne Marquis.  She is the new president of the Children's Educational Opportunity, also known as the CEO Foundation.  We have numerous students at St. Theresa School who receive an annual grant from this foundation and I believe that many more would qualify if parents apply promptly.  Carolanne will discuss all the details.  Please do not miss the opportunity to meet these two individuals who are key contacts and are instrumental in helping you qualify for tuition grants that translate into real money, both for you and the school.

The second piece of exciting news concerns the 60th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on April 30th, 2016 over at Tashua Knolls in Trumbull. This will be a memorable evening with a four course dinner, dancing, live entertainment, and a silent auction loaded with fabulous items.  The guest of honor for this evening will be Monsignor Louis DiProfio who served as pastor of the Saint Theresa community for over thirty years.  Tickets may be purchased on line now or in the office, beginning January 4, 2016.

I thank you in advance for your participation and attendance at these upcoming events.

Sincerely,
Salvatore Vittoria

Our Christmas Liturgy and Gift for a Child in Need
Dear Parents,

On Friday, December 18, 2015, there will be a Mass at 9:00 AM for the children of St. Theresa School.  The children from grade one will do the readings for the Mass.  Grade one students will also re-enact scenes from the Nativity.  They will be dressed as shepherds, angels and the Holy Family.

As in past years, sharing with others will be part of our Christmas Mass.  We are asking each student at St. Theresa to bring a new toy for a needy child to school.  The new toy should be wrapped and tagged with boy/girl and age.  The children will bring the wrapped toys to the altar during the Mass.  Please send the toys to school on the day of the Mass.  I hope that many of you will attend the Mass.
Thank you for your help.  Your generosity is appreciated.
Merry Christmas!

Mrs. Hutvagner
Congratulations to the Fourth Grade
The fourth grade won Honorable Mention for the tree they decorated last week at the Knights of Columbus Museum. Our thanks to Mrs. Mastronardi, our art teacher, for encouraging the students to create all of the vibrant ornaments.  The trees will be on display through the rest of Advent.  Please be sure to stop by if you are at the museum.
