Out & About
with TACC President & CEO Donna Duperron
Donna Visits Brow Arc in the Del Amo Fashion Center
As I entered Brow Arc in the Del Amo Fashion Center (close to the Sears entrance), I initially noticed how clean and welcoming the business is. Brow Arc began in Santa Rosa, California in 2009.  Since that time, expansion has included 28 locations in California, Washington and Florida. Services provided at Brow Arc include threading henna, makeup, eyelashes and waxing. Also included are hair cuts, style and color.
"Brow Arc currently has one store in the Del Amo Fashion Center, and a second store is under construction near Nordstrom,' stated Frozan Amiri, owner. The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce welcome Brow Arc as a member.

City of Torrance Unveils New Feature on Website to Improve Transparency
This past week, the City of Torrance unveiled a new feature on its website that displays the city's financial data in easy to read visuals.  The site, powered by OPENGOV, is a useful tool for businesses and residences in Torrance to better understand the City's financial information. Information displayed on the site includes charts that show City audited expenditures across various departments, including police and fire, libraries, parks, public works and more. One of the neat features of the site is that the visual displays of information can be downloaded within seconds for use by the user (e.g., business presentations, informational brochures, etc.).

Community Savored and Supported Local Restaurants & Breweries During First Ever "Dine Out Torrance" Week
"Dine Out Torrance" was a great success, so much so that the event was extended through Sunday, November 15th by popular demand!
The Torrance Chamber would like to say thank you to member restaurants and breweries for displaying the event poster in window storefronts and at counters, liking and sharing Dine Out Torrance information through social media, and for encouraging your customers and staff to participate in the event.
The Chamber would also like to thank everyone who dined out and had a beverage with Chamber member restaurants and breweries. Thank you for the support of the first ever "Dine Out Torrance" event!
Don't forget! There's still time to deliver your receipts to the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce office, where you will be given a ticket for a special drawing (valued at over $300) for each receipt. Receipts need to be dated from November 8-15, 2015 and from Chamber member restaurants or breweries. The drawing will take place at our Holiday Open House on December 10, 2015. The winner need not be present. #DineOutTorrance
