September 27, 2014 National Drug Take Back Day
In 4 hours on Saturday, 821 pounds of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications were collected in Howard County for environmentally safe disposal. According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), since the first National Drug Take Back Day in 2010, more than 4.1 million pounds of medications have been collected nationally. Pictured here are members of HCPD and volunteers at HC DrugFree's office in the Wilde Lake Village Center and the medications collected there. Many thanks to HCPD for staffing 9 collection locations throughout the County on Saturday and partnering with HC DrugFree throughout the year to keep the community safe through educational programs and events like these.

Needles, Syringes and EpiPen Collection
HC DrugFree, in partnership with Howard County General Hospital, collected needles, syringes and EpiPens during Drug Take Back Day. HC DrugFree's Teen Advisory Council (TAC) Meetings
TAC is open to Howard County high school students, and meetings will be held at The Barn at the Oakland Mills Village Center from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on:

January 12th
