Local author Lana Krumwiede will unveil the third and final book in her Psi Chronicles series for teens.
True Son continues the story of Taemon, an unexpected hero who must find a way to save his people one last time.

Maasai Culture and Beading Workshop
Fairfield - Friday, May 8, 4pm
Join guests Chief Joseph Ole Tipanko and his wife Cicilia Seleyian in connection with the Global Outreach for Humanity Foundation, as they deliver a talk on life in Kenya and the Maasai culture. There will also be an opportunity for elementary and middle school students to learn African bead making. The beading activity will be limited to the first 12 participants.

The Scarlet Letters

Gone with the Wind collector and historian John Wiley, Jr. will discuss his book The Scarlett Letters: The Making of the Film Gone with the Wind. He tells the story behind the making of the classic 1939 film through a collection of letters written by author Margaret Mitchell.

DMV2Go

The DMV's mobile customer service center will be available to process a variety of DMV transactions including renewing a driver's license, updating an address, getting copies of driving records and obtaining vehicle titles. 

Chinese Painting 
Twin Hickory - Saturday, May 30, 2-5pm
If you have enjoyed the elegant landscapes, flowers and birds of Chinese Painting, here is a chance to learn this classic art form. Under the instruction of artist Shaoqiang Chen, participants will create a simple work with calligraphy strokes, water and ink composition and contrast.
