Happy New Year!
As skiers, we rejoice at the cold temperatures and deep snow of Steamboat winters. We do not have the same reaction when we receive our utility bills. There is nothing like the January cold and snow to make us acutely aware of how much energy our homes and offices use. YVSC is starting off 2016 with a strong push to help income-qualified homeowners and renters to reduce their utility bills by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes. We are also working hard this winter to educate homeowners, businesses, building professionals, and realtors about measuring the efficiency of a home or business and local resources available to increase building efficiency.
Please read on to find out more about our current work in Energy and Green Building, as well as upcoming workshops and training opportunities. YVSC could not be doing this work without support from The Jeff and Alissa Merage Foundation, the Colorado Energy Office, Energy Outreach Colorado, as well as support from individuals. Thank You!
Stay warm,
Sarah Jones
