From the President
In August 2015 the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off its 30th year of the Leadership Lewisville program. The program offers opportunities to strengthen leadership skills and gain a better understanding of the community where participants live and work.

Each year the class is challenged to develop and execute a project to make a difference in the community. The 2015-2016 Leadership Lewisville class has diligently worked to establish partnerships with Communities in Schools of North Texas and Lewisville High School to implement the Lead Forward program.

Lead Forward is a student mentoring program designed to connect business and community leaders with students exploring futures in business and/or community leadership. Students will be encouraged to explore traditional and alternative education paths to identify which one will best help them achieve their goals.

The Lead Forward program kicks off this week with its first twelve students. The Chamber is pleased to see this program come to fruition. If you are interested in supporting the program or have questions, please direct them to Jim Mustain or Brannon Cox, the program chair and co-chair.
