Southwest Florida's Leading Interior Designers Team Up to Makeover Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida.
FORT MYERS, FL -  Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida ® (RMHCSWFL), Kravet Inc., and Home & Design magazine are proud to announce Project Design 2016 Southwest Florida! All of the original bedrooms of the House, kitchen, dining room, common areas, restrooms, laundry room, and all of the original flooring will be completely revamped with the help of generous leaders in the interior design industry, just in time to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Myers - 20 spaces for 20 years!

"We're beyond thrilled about this partnership," said Laura Ragain, Executive Director of RMHCSWFL. "The project couldn't have come at a better time for us, as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of RMHC of SWFL. In turn, we have identified 20 areas in the House that are due for improvement. The generosity and creativity of our Southwest Florida Design Community and our sponsors is nothing short of spectacular."

Suzanne Costa of Suzanne Costa Interiors will lead as Design Chair of the project. RMHC is confident that her leadership and the involvement of several of the area's most renowned interior designers will help provide even more comforting accommodations to the 135+ families it serves each year. Participating designers will be attending a Designer Kick-Off Luncheon at the House on October 6th, where they will tour the House and survey each of the spaces to inspire their creative involvement with the re-design.

"As Design Chair and RMH Long Island Board member in 2014, I have had the honor of leading Project Design in the NY area for the past two years," said Costa. "My interior design business has recently brought me to Southwest Florida for several months at a time. During my visits, I have been quite intrigued to learn that a tremendous need exists in Ft. Myers for a similar home transformation near the new Golisano Children's Hospital. Having this unique position of connecting with families in the community, as well as with the local Southwest Florida interior design industry, has positioned me to replicate the generosity for which we were grateful in previous years up north. I'm thrilled to be a part of this SWFL Project Design in Ft. Myers and have already established a running start with many key roles filled. Several companies have already been identified who are willing to donate products and services. Here's to another great year of giving back!"

"We were thrilled to learn about the renovation of the Fort Myers House and jumped at the opportunity to sponsor," said Cary Kravet.  "Suzanne Costa was a real champion for the Long Island House during its two-year renovation, both as a designer and as project chair, and we know she'll be an asset to the project in Southwest Florida. At Kravet we believe in the transformative power of design, and we are honored to support the Ronald McDonald House in the best way we know how: by making it better for the families who will stay there."

The project will be covered editorially by Home & Design magazine . Publisher Linda Donnelly said, "I'm thrilled to be involved in this incredible design project. This honor brings together the best talent in the luxury home industry with the biggest hearts. And the transformative experience we will be creating for the families of sick children being treated at the Golisano Children's Hospital in Ft. Myers will be one of the magazine's greatest contributions to the community."

Suzanne Costa Interiors, Kristin Williams Designs, International Design Source, Wilderness Furniture & Floors, and Currey and Company have already signed on to support the project.  A complete list of confirmed Designers will be announced prior to the Designer Kick-Off Luncheon on October 6th.
