Madison Adoption Associates attends

"Adoption Meet & Greet" at

LPA Annual Convention

Margaret & Spears

Margaret Bonella and Sara Lang were delighted to travel to Washington, DC for the Little People of America 2013 Convention.  It was LPA's first year to feature an Adoption Meet & Greet for families who have adopted or are interested in adopting.  We were thrilled to see clients, Michael & Holly, at the event (pictured above with Margaret).

After the Meet & Greet, we were invited to stay for the LPA Talent Show.  What an amazing treat - from singers and dancers, to cup song performances and martial arts demonstrations - so many talented people!

Fred
DOB: June 5, 2008

Fred is an intelligent, cute little guy whose special need is that his fingers and toes are webbed. His mobility is not affected by this condition - he dances to jazz music and loves to perform.  He is in Kindergarten where music is his favorite subject.  This smart boy can write 1-10 and counts orally to 100. The nannies call him brilliant! He did say one thing in English without prompting: "bye bye". His bathroom habits are normal and he is an average boy except for those cute little fingers and toes. One day he would like to be a policeman. He likes to watch TV - loves cartoons and movies.  He plays with puzzles and other toys with his friends.  He lives at the center with 4 boys in his room and one caregiver. WE LOVE THIS CHILD!!

Check out the videos we took with Fred during our recent visit to China:

Welcome Jessica!

Jessica Harrison has joined the MAA family as the Administrative Assistant and Caseworker in-training.  Professionally,  Jessica has worked in the healthcare and social services fields advocating for senior citizens and adults with disabilities.   In 2004, she chose to be a full-time, stay-at-home mother to her pride and joy - her son, Nathan.  Jessica has been an active mom, volunteering with her son's schools, the PTA, her church, the Boy Scouts, little league, fundraisers, and various non-profits, including Miracle for Mateo and National Brain Tumor Society.

Jessica brings to MAA her strong family values, sincere desire to help, and empathetic ear to lend.  She strives to be a supportive partner to the adoptive families and the special children we serve.  She looks forward to gaining a wealth of knowledge about adoption and many years of growth within MAA.

Jessica has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from New Jersey City University.  She is happily married and resides in New Jersey with her husband and son.

*We wish a very happy & successful future to Margaret Bonella who left MAA to pursue a career in the field of online education. She is missed and we will always consider her part of our family!
