May 2014
MAA's reduced application fee of $250 for new adoption cases has been extended through the end of May 2014!

Madison Adoption Associates is expecting the referrals of many wonderful children as a result of our recent trip to China.  In order to be "paper-ready" to be matched with children with minor/correctable needs, we encourage families to begin the process now!!

Huainan Van Plan
- Putting Kids on the Road to an Education -

Van Plan

As part of MAA's One-to-One Partnership Agreement with Huainan Social Welfare Institute in Anhui province, we are concerned with the education of the children.

At this time, the SWI has a large bus to transport the school children. However, there are not enough children to fill the entire bus, and often there is not enough money to pay for gas for the bus. When there is no money for gas, the children don't go to school.

In order to ensure that the children are able to attend school, MAA has committed to purchasing a van for the Huainan SWI.  The van will better fit the needs of the children and be more cost-effective for the SWI.  It's a WIN-WIN for everyone!

We ask for your help in supporting this Van Plan by clicking on the PayPal button below!  All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of all

donations will go toward this project.

2014 Hosting Program

Don't miss out on the opportunity to provide a life-changing experience for an older orphan from China.  If you are unable to host, you can help sponsor a child.

These precious boys still need a host family who lives in Illinois, Missouri, or Kentucky.

Madison Adoption Associates is growing!  We are happy to now count the following four ladies as part of our team:

Bev Guinto joined Madison Adoption Associates in October 2013 as a part-time bookkeeper in the Delaware office. She considers herself fortunate to have been a stay-at-home mom for the past seven years but was eager to get back into the work force. She brings with her over 15 years of banking experience which include treasury, finance and technology functions. She graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance.  Bev looks forward to providing support for MAA, its associates and families. She also looks forward to learning as much as possible about the adoption process and expanding her role within the MAA family. Bev is married and has two amazing children, twins Luciano & Olivia.

Rachel Akiva joined Madison Adoption Associates in October 2013 as a Social Worker in the Pennsylvania area.  She has worked with children and families for over twenty years in NY, MI, and now PA. Rachel has enjoyed working with birth parents and adoptive parents in both international and domestic adoption. She brings her commitment to finding families for children and her dedication to supporting all those involved in the adoption journey.  Rachel graduated from Simon's Rock of Bard College and University of Buffalo with a degree in Social Work. She lives with her wonderful husband and three incredible daughters in Pittsburgh.

Amanda Felizardo comes to us from Elkton, MD. She has a bachelor's degree from Norwich University in Studies in War and Peace and a Master's of Science in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University. Her hobbies include: gardening, outdoor activities, the arts, and learning Mandarin Chinese and Tagalog.  Her dream is to place orphans in loving homes and to give them a healthy and happy life.

Heather Iacono joined Madison Adoption Associates in 2014 as an Adoption Associate in the Delaware office.  Heather graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology.  She has been lucky enough to have been home with her four children over the past few years.  She previously worked at St. David's Episcopal Day School as an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher.  Prior to having children, she worked at Wilmington Trust Company as a Senior Human Resources Officer specializing in Compensation.  Heather is happily married with 4 children: Nicholas, twins Christian and Joseph, and Michaela.  She enjoys running, reading, baking, and watching her children play many sports!  This position is a perfect blend of the professional world with her love of children!
