GRANTING ACCESS TO
LONG TERM SUBSTITUTES
In order to ensure that instruction continues when a teacher is out on leave, long term substitutes can access BCPS One. Daily substitutes do not have access at this time. Listed below are the steps required to grant access to long term substitutes.
  • The principal notifies Human Resources (HR) they have hired a long term substitute and the principal processes the appropriate paperwork requesting a network ID and password to be set up.
  • HR/Payroll updates the pay rate to reflect that the substitute has been placed into a long term position.
  • The principal e-mails [email protected].  This will ensure the long term substitute is added to the STARS user list, STARS faculty list and SILK (secondary only) teacher list.
  • The appropriate staff schedules classes to the substitute in STARS/SILK.
  • Long term substitutes will have access to BCPS One as part of the roster process in the evening feed from STARS. They will see those classes listed under their name.

BCPS ONE SUPPORT AND
SUGGESTIONS FOR ENHANCEMENTS
The BCPS One support model has been modified for the 2015-2016 school year. Staff should seek assistance first from either their STAT teacher or by referencing the One Manual . To escalate an inquiry, users should submit an Online Support Request Form . Lastly, users have the option to further escalate the matter by calling 443-809-7846.

As of Friday, August 28, 2015, the Online Support Request Form will replace the [email protected] email address which will be deactivated. The support form should also be used to submit suggestions for enhancements.
