INSTALLATION and GRATITUDE

We know that all things work together for good for those
who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8.28

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

Defined: noun in·stal·la·tion: the act or  process of making a machine, a service, etc., ready to be used in a certain place : the act of installing something : a ceremony in which someone is put in an official or important job.

On Sunday, November 1, we officially INSTALL Pastor Jen Collins to BE a pastor living and loving and serving among us. Sister Noreen Stevens from the Saint Paul Area Synod will be with us to properly install Pastor Jen into the office of Pastor.

Pastor Jen will join a staff team already in place- a staff team that works together to serve YOU, the congregation of Hosanna Lutheran Church. As we ready to INSTALL Pastor Jen, it is a good reminder to THANK the entire staff for their service to Hosanna. It is a privilege (and a whole lot of fun!) for me to walk alongside this committed team. Their effort and their dedication to their call to serve in this place at this time is apparent in their smiles and laughter and can-do attitudes.

In the Lutheran Church we lift up the PRIESTHOOD of ALL BELIEVERS- that we are all called into our various vocations- both those jobs that we get paid to do and those that we volunteer our time and talent, along with those callings that we live into day to day (as sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, etc). And so it is also a good reminder for me to THANK YOU- for the many ways that you LIVE and LOVE and SERVE both at Hosanna and out into the WORLD.

Paul's words from Romans 8 are a wonderful way both to begin and end this note to you:

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God,
who are called according to his purpose.

With deep gratitude and appreciation       ~ Pastor Linda
