The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities is conducting a research project about the transition experience of young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who recently graduated from high school. We are looking for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who graduated between 2008 - 2014 and/or their families to share their experiences.

Research Opportunity
Transition Experience of Young Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities 
 
In order to participate you must be:
  • An individual with an intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD) who graduated from a New Jersey School between 2008 - 2014 or a family member of a 2008-2014 graduate with I/DD.
  • Able to participate in a phone interview, scheduled based on your availability.
If you are interested in being interviewed, please email or call Carrie Coffield at (732) 235-9329 or  [email protected] to schedule the phone interview . The interview may take up to one hour to complete.
 
Before we ask you any interview questions, we will explain more about the study and get your agreement to participate in the research. Everyone who completes the interview will receive a $15 gift card by mail and will be entered in a random drawing to win one of five $100 gift cards.

This research is being conducted by Carrie Coffield, PhD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, New Jersey's federally-funded University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. It is funded by the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities. The information we learn will help us to better understand the transition experiences of young adults in New Jersey. The New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities (NJCDD) will also use the information we learn in planning their activities for the next five years.
