November 9, 1985 - In the season finale for the PPG IndyCar World Series at Miami's Tamiami Park, Indy 500 winner Danny Sullivan claims the inaugural Beatrice Indy Challenge with his Miller High Life March 85C-Cosworth, 16.8 seconds ahead of polewinner and early leader Bobby Rahal's Budweiser March 86C-Cosworth in 2nd, with Al Unser Jr. taking 3rd in the Domino's Pizza Lola T900-Cosworth. Sullivan's teammate Al Unser passes Roberto Moreno for 4th place with five laps to go to score just enough points to nip his son for the National Championship by a single marker. The title is the third of Unser's distinguished career and, coming at age 46, makes him the oldest American National Champion ever.
November 11, 1951 - Johnnie Parsons drives Ed Walsh's Wynn's Friction Proofing Kurtis-Offy to victory in the Bay Meadows 150 in San Mateo, California, carefully managing his tires to outlast early leader Tony Bettenhausen (Belanger Kurtis-Offy) and 3rd-placed Henry Banks (Hopkins Moore-Offy).
November 11, 1990 - Juan Fangio II wins the IMSA GTP Grand Prix of Greater San Diego at Del Mar with Dan Gurney's All American Racers Eagle HF89-Toyota. Davy Jones finishes 2nd in Tom Walkinshaw's Castrol Jaguar XJR-10, while a lap down in 3rd is John Paul Jr. in David Seabroke's privately entered Nissan GTP-ZXT, ahead of the two works cars.
