It's only November and we already have plenty of reasons to celebrate at Centre Ice and Howe Arena! That's why this edition of

The TCFSC

the second consecutive year a club member has advanced to sectional competition. Anna Rossiter, having placed third overall in the Juvenile Girls Division at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating Championships, is moving on to sectionals in Cleveland on Wednesday, November 18.
*Having recently learned that they've received designation as a USA Hockey American Development Model, GTHA continues to
celebrate
with free girls hockey clinics Friday, November 13 featuring Michele Amidon, Regional Director of USA Hockey's American Development Model and Saara Tuominen Niemi, a 2006 & 2010 Olympian.
*Traverse City North Stars Bantam A celebrates going 5 - 0 the weekend of October 16, 17 & 18 to win the GTHA BTA & BTAA Traverse City Tournament!

| Anna Rossiter Advances to Sectional Competition in Cleveland |
| 2nd Consecutive Year TCFSC Sends Skater to Sectionals |
|
Once again a Traverse City Figure Skating Club member will take the ice at the Midwestern Sectional Figure Skating Championships. Anna Rossiter, an 11-year-old fifth grader at Immaculate Conception Elementary School, will compete in the Juvenile Girls Division at OBM Arena in Strongsville, OH near Cleveland on Wednesday, November 18. Rossiter advanced to sectionals after finishing third overall in her division at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating Championships in Ft. Wayne, IN October 16-21.

Anna Rossiter took first place in the initial round of competition at the regional championships in Ft. Wayne, advancing her to the final round where she took third place overall in the Juvenile Girls Division, earning her a trip to sectional competition in Cleveland.
|
According to TCFSC Executive Director and Coach Laurent Masse, "Anna skated two great programs at regionals to move forward and we'll see what she can do at sectionals. It's exciting for her to be in this position with a chance to qualify for the national championships. To have a third skater in two years qualify for sectionals is a big accomplishment for any club, so we are very proud of our skaters."

Sending a skater to sectionals is not only a repeat for TCFSC, but also for the Rossiter family. Last year, Anna's sister Frances advanced to sectionals along with Molly Davies. Frances then advanced to nationals where she placed eleventh in her division. Anna will need to place in the top four skaters in her division to advance to the 2016 Prudential National Figure Skating Championships in St. Paul, MN January 15-24. Good Luck Anna! | TC Girls Hockey Welcomes ADM Regional Director to Conduct Free Girls Hockey Clinic November 13 at Centre Ice Arena |
| Olympic Finnish Women's Hockey Bronze Medalist Also Scheduled to Participate |
| GTHA and Traverse City Girls Hockey have announced that Michele Amidon, Regional Director of USA Hockey's American Development Model, will deliver a presentation and conduct two clinics for teams and coaching staff on Friday, November 13 at Centre Ice Arena. Amidon will be joined by Saara Tuominen Niemi, a 2006 and 2010 Finnish Olympian and Bronze Medalist, who will also conduct clinics. All events are free of charge. | Second Raffle Features Sweet Treats in Time for Thanksgiving |
The TC Figure Skating Club is currently conducting two fundraising raffles featuring cold, hard cash and sweet tasty treats just in time for the holidays.
One lucky winner could take home $10,000 on December 12 during the Christmas Exhibition. A separate raffle offering the winner a choice of homemade Strawberry Tarts or a Chocolate Cheesecake will be drawn just in time for Thanksgiving.
