Congratulations to Legend High School for receiving an All-American Honor Rating, as well as an All-Colorado Honor rating from the National Scholastic Press Association for its 2014-15 yearbook. The following is the critique the school received: "Congratulations on achieving an All-American with five marks of distinction. It was evident that your staff and adviser are knowledgeable, innovative and talented. Your theme, 'that school on top of the hill. about that...' was exceptionally intriguing. The publication's areas of excellence included coverage of special and everyday events, theme development and photography techniques."

Trash is messy business, but that didn't stop  Wildcat Mountain Elementary students from digging in. The Green Team Leadership Group, led by Ms. Christensen and Mrs. Winter, sorted all the trash from one school day, including the lunchroom, into separate bins. The team is challenging Wildcat Mountain students and staff to reduce the amount of waste we create during a day. Throughout the sorting process, there were many moments by both adults and students, which started conversations about which changes could have the greatest impact.  Through a grant from
Green Up Our Schools, the Green Team will have the funds to organize additional recycling opportunities, replace disposable items with those that can be reused, and continue educating our staff and students about little changes we can do each day that will have long term effects on our environment.
